Pedagogic content knowledge analysis of Social Science  The term ' pedagogue ' is derived from two Greek words pais-paidos and agagos . The term pais-paidos means  boy and agagos meaning guide . which together means ' those who guide the boy' is the teacher. Pedagogy means the science of teaching.  Pedagogie analysis means a logical and systematic break up of the curriculum from the point of view of a pedagogue (teacher) for the purpose of effectively transacting it It attempts at determining objectives and selection of suitable learning experiences. It also aims at pooling of all the resources for the effective realisation of goals anticipated. In pedagogic analysis, the teacher should take into consideration the unique needs and individuality of the learner. In the curriculum analysis teacher should be viewed and treated in tune with the needs, capacities, probable difficulties, etc. of the learners for whom it is transacted. Debate Debate is possible  for teaching topics involving controversies , where views can be expressed both for and against the issue to be discussed. In this technique the teacher selects speakers for and against the issue, guides and prepares them for the debate and finally gets it staged for providing realistic experience to the rest of his students. While preparing a debate the following points are to be remembered: 1. Topic and date must be informed in advance so that the participants get sufficient time for preparation. 2. Topic should be clear, simple and interesting and must be controversies. 3. Speakers are to be selected from the class and then divided into two groups to argue for or against the debate. 4.   Seminar Seminar is a technique in which a person presents a ready made paper or lecture on a specific subject before a group. While presenting seminars audio visual aids are also accompanied such as Over Head Projector,  Liquid Crystal Projector (LCD) etc. The paper presenter can either be an expert or one of the members of the group.
