Teacher 
* The teacher who plays a vital role in the process of teaching and learning.
* have mastery in subject matter.
* accessibility of instruction.
* arrange the learning materials  in the meaningful manner.
* guiding the students at every steps.

*through awareness of individual learner.
* leads the students to the goals along that path.

Training
* should complete a training period of 2 or more years.
Teaching skills
During the training period the teacher should familiarize and practices various skills and mastery about it.
During the actual teaching session the teacher has to integrate different teaching skills at the proper time,  and make the class more interactive.
Methods of teaching 
Teaching is not the process of providing information to the students.
* inorder to make the learning effective the teacher should familiarize various methods of teaching and understand the psychological and philosophical principles and facts behind each methods. On the basis of these ideas, teachers can choose the proper methods and integrate  various methods to make the learning effective and long lasting.
Application of suitable devices and techniques 
Selection of appropriate devices and techniques is one of the major task.  To make the learning meaningful the teacher has to link suitable devices and techniques incoperate with the methods of teaching.
Evaluation techniques 
To access the learner's level of performance is an important task of teacher. The ultimate aim of Education is the  behavioral change or behavioral modification.  How much changes happenning in each domains of learner should be assess in each phases of learning. So a teacher should familiarize and mastery over various measurement and evaluation techniques. The teacher has acquire the mathematical ideas to convert the students performance in the quantitative manner such as ranking or grading.
Adopt remedial measures 
After accessing the performance level of the learner, the teacher can identify the deviation of students performance from the main stream or normality.  The knowledge about the causes and reasons,  the teacher can adopt the remedial measures to overcome the difficulties of the learner which the learning process.
Sessions of practicing the above
During the teacher education period, the teacher trainee get opportunities to practice all the above  in the regular classroom environment with the concerned class, subject and with the learner.  How much effectively he/she can completed the  teaching practice session he get a grade or score.  When ever he got a professional degree from the authority (NCETE)  the teacher becomes a professional teacher.
Teaching as a  service 
Teachers always be a social committed person. 
• Teacher as a social engineer
Construct the future citizens are in the hands of  teachers.  Socially committed, socially responsible, socially productive citizens are molded by the hands of teachers. So during the formal education period the teacher's role is not only the information provider but also equip the students to meet the challenges in the ever changing society. All these are the responsibility of the teacher.
• Make the child self sufficient 
Enables the child to realise his abilities and utilizes his potentialities to the correct and proper channels. Proper guidance should provide the each step of development.
Familiarize the learner to the productive community.
• Make the learner a healthy personality. 
Equip the learner to understand the rights and duties as a citizen. Help to develop morals.,values etc
• Equip the pupil to take responsibilities. 
Enable  them a socially committed citizens.
Participate the learners in social issues and generate their opinion related to these issues in a judicial and humanistic manner.
• A service for whole humanity 
Establish and maintain peace national integration and international understanding. Protect the cultural heritage and transmit its values to the next generation.
